Het zicht was uitstekend, de lucht was rustig. Dus uitstekend vliegweer. Tsja, wel wat minder sportief dan een zweefvliegtuig, h\u00e9 Beate? Ze was zweefvlieginstructrice! Mijn opa woonde aan de Harlingerweg &#8211; tussen het park en de brug<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.meevliegen.nl\/wp-content\/images\/stories\/vlucht20050710\/img_2573_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nKie, een gehucht tegen Franeker aan. Hier woonde Ymkje, een meisje dat in 1914 naar Canada emigreerde (ze was de boezemvriendin van mijn oma). Haar oudste zoon is nu 89 jaar, woont bij Seattle. Hij was piloot in WW-II op B-17 en B-25 en DC-3.
